Hello, I am currently looking to put a different rearend in my 86 Z28, I currently have 2:73's in the rear, limited slip diff. and I am looking to go up to 3:73 with a Posi unit. My car currently has a 350 ci with a 480 high lift cam, and a TR400 Transmission that seems to work well, my question is "is my tranny going to hold up to the power or is now the time to look around at other options?" Now, I need the overdrive or at least a four speed of some kind, I am considering changing over to a manual tranny but that is quite a bit of work, any ideas as to how or where I can get a better transmission that will bolt up and fit right into place? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

If you want to stay automatic, a 700r4 from pro-built would probably work nice.
