FLEX this!!!

Alright here is my deal. I have no clue what number of teeth flex-plate I have on my 89 Formula 350? I need to order an new one to stop the grinding I hear and the lag I experience when the engine reaches 3500 rpms. Kind of feels like the trans dropped out of the car when it hits that high an rpm. So anyone know what type of flex-plate I need? I could use the help, Thanks!

You need a 153-tooth, one-piece rear main seal flexplate.

Assuming the flexplate is causing the problems you describe. The grinding I'll assume is when the starter is engaged - that's typically a starter shiming problem (has the starter been replaced?). The "lag" at 3500 rpms - can't imagine how that could possibly be caused by a flexplate. Low fluid, maybe.
