good luck finding a 200-4r in an f-body. The only year that happened was in 1989 with the turbo's. Any G-body with OD should have a 200-4r in it, like the regal's, gutless's, and monte's. The 200-4r's do not have a torque arm mount, the ones in the TTA's were modified. The 700-4r's were in all auto 3rdgens with OD. Also in trucks and blazers. The th700 will fit ONLY to a chevy engine(and apparently the firebirds), where the 200-4r will fit on any GM engine. There is probably more to this story, but that is all I can tell you- Randy
if you think a cutlass is gutless, we can go for a little race and i'll show you what my old boat can do.
anything gm made that had overdrive before 92-93 would be a 2004R or 700R4. the 700R4 would be found in chevy's mostly because it has only a chevy bellhousing, although a chevy motor could be had in a pontiac, olds, buick chassis. The 2004R will rarely be found in a chevy and mainly in olds pontiac and buick. In about 93 they switched to the 4L60E which is electronically controlled...
