Aluminum Driveshaft

How do I tell the diff between a steel and aluminum driveshaft when I hit the junk yard?

Car: '89 Formula
Engine: 355 TPI
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3.70 9 bolt.
Steel = rusty POS that a magnet will stick to.
Aluminum = looks like aluminum... magnet don't stick.

Kind of figured the magnet method was going to be the best. Hopefully I'll pick one that's not dicked up in some way.
