I really need flywheel help????? Please
Hey guys i have a vibration when i rev my car. I was thinkingi put the wrong flywheel on it but have been researching on the net about it.I have a 70 something 350 engine and i think i put an 89 flywheel on it,,but it seems that my research has shown a 2 piece rear seal flywheel has a different bolt pattern than a 1 piece rear seal..SO if it bolted on it should be right.... Am i wrong?? could the wrong balancer on the front of the engine do this also?? The vibration happens when parked and reving it..also happens when i take off through the gears normal driving.. please help MATT

you cant bolt a 1pc flywheel to a 2pc crank
what engine work was done? any?
what flywheel are you suing? they make flywheels for internally balanced engines, and externally balanced engines.
we are talking flywheels, not flexplates right? you have a manual trans?

well like i said, it depends on what was doesn't o the engine, if it was internally balanced, you need a flywheel thats for internally balanced engines, IE, neutral balance. If the engine was externally balanced, it would have been done with the flywheel attached, so the flywheel would be weighted.
The balancing is sometimes done with a weight on the crank, or a weight on the flywheel. Spin the flywheel and see what you find. If nothing, i would assume its internally balanced and you would need a 2pc 153tooth flywheel that is for internally balanced engines, ot neutral balance. you can get a stock one from a f-body up to 86 and it will be 2 pc.

Hello so i took of my insp cover and there is no weight on the wheel. I found the number on it an it is for a 84 camaro v8,i bought it from advance auto parts. My crank has what looks like a weight on the rear where the wheel bolts.i think this is normal soo it looks like the wheel is the right one so what the hell is making it vibrate???fouled plug??bad wire??
