Whats Better. M-20 or T-56

Im going to get a new tranny for my 87 iroc.
I have 350 HP.
My t-5 cant take it.
I want a Muncie M-20 or a T-56. Whats better and why?

Both are strong enough.

Muncie - Cheaper???, easy bolt it, no overdrive. About a 6 on the WOW factor.

T-56 - Costs more???, more "engineering" to bolt in (espically for a clutch fork), 2 overdrives. About a 9 on the WOW factor.

If you have <3.08 in the rear, Muncie will be fine.

If you have >3.73 in the rear, you'll like the overdrive.

neither, I have a 3.45.
I want to go with a 6 speed for some thing unsual. But im on a limited budget.

he ment 3.08 and under, muncie is fine
3.73 and over , go for the other one.

Muncie's will hold up better, cause they were strapped to factory torque monsters

i just bought the tremec t56 from darkhorse performance $1899.00 it bolts to t5 bellhousing i ordered the spohn torqe arm and crossmember for another 400 putting in next week ill let you know what i think. my rear is 3.27 posi with disc's. running about 350 - 380 hp maybe more need dyno run.i always wanted 6 speeds..oooooooh yea can't wait

I want a six speed very bad but do to me being cheap as I am I will go with a old Muncie and rebuild it.
