I believe my car has a 200-c transmission in it now. I have recently replaced the intake manifold (3701 edelbrock) and carburator(1406 edelbrock), removed the computer controlled distributor and all emission related items. Now the passing gear will not engage properly. I understand this transmission doesnt have a vacuum modulator.

Is the carburator the only control of the passing gear?

There are 2 wires on the side of the transmission do they have anything to do with shifting?? I didnt know if we may of disconnected something.
