neutral safety and, something else..?
i bought my 89 iroc with a t56 from an auto swap, but none of the wiring was hooked up.
i know how to hook up pretty much all of it, but the neutral safety has been bypassed and i need to get it hooked up.
i found the neutral safety switch itself, but theres no wires in it yet, and theres another white switch for when you release the clutch (it hits a button when you lift off the clutch) and i dont know what it is.
heres a picture. anybody know what it is?

by the way, its got 4th gen pedals.

That is the clutch anticipate switch. It connects to the ECM so that it can start adjusting fuel/spark in anticipation of the shift and momentary loss of engine load while the clutch is engaged.

that is freaking cool!
since they are fourth gen pedals will they be able to hook up to it properly?
and how would i go about doing that, if it is possible?

You can wire it into the Park/Neutral switch Signal input of your ECM. It's just an on/off 12V switch, so it will connect right up. The Neutral Safety switch uses heavier guage wire and connects to the starter relay to prevent the car from starting unless the clutch is fully disengaged.

Re: neutral safety and, something else..?
ok.
the neutral safety is currently bypassed and there are quite a lot of wires above the pedals and such.
im about to see if i can get it hooked up, but do you (or anyone for that matter) know exactly what wires go where?
i think ill be able to get it hooked up but i figured id ask just in case.
