Transmission: 5 speed

torque bar
86 iroc-z 5 speed...my torque bar came unhooked from the transmission and it striped the threads for the bolt in the transmission...can i run a tap through it and put a new bolt in it???or how can i fix this?...thanks

replied in other thread. it bolts THROUGH the trans tail housing. get new bolts with nuts. grade 8 but u might get away with grade5. i kno bc i removed mine recently when i rebuilt my trans. the actual mount is not threaded into the trans... just straight through holes.

I also replied on the other thread and pointed out that it does not bolt through the tail housing on the T-5 trans.
