One suggestion is sticking to one post instead of reposting same question by starting a new thread within 3 hours of posting the first. This is not a 24/7 helpline with operators standing by - you have to have patience and wait for a response from someone who may be able to help. Board moderators don't like double posts wasting server space, and the rest of us don't like reading the same question twice. Also, the function works great!

TransX additive is for (in 700r4's that is) when you lose reverse when its cold, but works fine when hot, and it is the low reverse seals that have gotten hard. This might fix it if it is the low/reverse seals. Problem is that this rarely happens in the 700R4's. I have seen it help out TH350's and mostly Ford C-6 transmissions. If it solves the problem, drive it a day or two more, then do a "complete" change of fluid as the TransX additive will keep making the seals grow and will "ruin" the transmission in a couple of weeks if it is left in. TransX is a "seal swell" just like the old carburetor cleaner of years ago. it swelled the seals that were accidently left in it in a short period of time.

Thank you "Pro Built" for the info that is one of the problems i've heard. i'm just wanting to make sure i make the right decision with the detergent or if its serious enough to rebuild? i'm in college and its hard to go without a car so i'm torn between the quick fix and the rebuild. thanks again! i cant stand guys like the one that replied before you.
