will an 86 astro trans for my 89 camaro

i have an 89 RS 3.1v6 camaro and the trans is bad.

i have found a trans out of an 87 astro 4.3v6

will these 2 play nice?

Transmission: t/5

Axle/Gears: open/3.42

The answer to your question is no they will not . The reason is the 3.1 is a 60* v6 and the 4.3 is a 90* v6 which means the 4.3 is the same bolt pattern as a v8 .
