Flywheel balancing?
I've been reading some old posts and now I think I'm more confused than when I started!
I'm getting rid of my automatic for a T56. I'm confused on what to do with the flywheel, should I take it to a machine shop and have them balance it the same way as the flexplate from the automatic? Or should everything be good to go right out of the box? Depending on what post you read some say balance it, some say it should be good right out of the box..

I don't think flywheels get balanced, but I don't think it could hurt anything. Be sure the shop takes off weight, as opposed to adding weight.

Re: Flywheel balancing?
Now that I'm looking a little closer at the flywheels.. maybe it depends on the manufacturer? I was looking at aluminum ones, all the Fidanza brand ones say they need to be balanced, other brands like Ram say they're balanced at the factory and ready to install.
