Another T5 or a T56 or something else entirely?
I got an 88 base Camaro with a 305tbi that's about to be a carbed 383 within a year or so.
My t5 is almost dead, and I'm about to replace it. I was all ready to get the t56 but now I'm not sure that it's just a straight forward upgrade over the t5.
My question is, which should I get? The car is my daily driver, but I don't want any trouble from little rice-burners at red lights. So, stick with another t5 or is the t56 worth it? Or, is there a better alternative all together?

the t5 will eventually let you down and blow. The t56 is a good upgrade, and can still be found for a good price. TKO600's are good too, but are rarely found used and run about 2500bux new with most conversion parts.
