700-R4 help

yes i have a 1984 firebird trans am it came with a 700-R4 but the guy that had it before me cut off the wireing plug that went to the transmission was wondering if anyone knew what wires im looking for and where i might beable to get a replacement harness i have got under neathe the car and looked in a for the wire but itsno where to be found i think he might of cut it closs to the computer or the brain agean im not sure where it owuld be at if anyone could help me thank you right now i have a th50 in it.

The plug is for the torque converter lockup solonoid as well as a what I would assume is a pressure switch and a temp switch. Don't quote me on those. I don't believe they are anything that would affect how the car drives.

I 'm going to assume you have a cable driven speedo, otherwise there is another set of wires that goes to that as well.

There's nothing in that harness you need if you have a TH350.

yea its a cable drivin speedo and what im planning on doing is putting back in the 700r4 the th350 is nice but hell on the hightway so wanting to go back to the 700r4

The wires come out of the loom right behind the drivers side valve cover. Since you have a 383 the air injection tubing should be removed I would think. This will give you more room to look, but I'd think the wires were cut off there.

Going through some diagrams I found. Not sure if you're going to have the same colors, but it's some to check for.

TCC solenoid:
LT BLU - signal
TAN/BLK - ground maybe

I wasn't able to find anything for the other two wires in the harness. I honestly can't tell you for sure what they do.

that give me a starting point to look for i haft to pull the engine anyways this week cause i bought a new aluminum 350 block and have it at the shop now getting bord and channeled
