way to tell if trans is good out of car
i have a 700r4 i got off a trade, is thier a way to know if this wont slip or be bad etc with it out cuz i dont want to put it in and blow it apart in a week. thanks

not really, other than seeing if the oil smells burnt or is discolored.

You could pull the pan and see how much grit and garbage is laying in the bottom, but that will only tell you so much. It might still be junk.
