which diff?
ok i have a 7.5 ring gear ten bolt with posi and 3.42 gears, i also have a 9 inch with 2.73 gears non posi. im looking to make 500hp or around there and i have no faith in the 10 bolt holding up but the 9 inch is heavy and i dont want to run that, so what have you guys run and what would you recommend for me to get that wouldnt be too heavy and could hold the power? thanks Ty.

Re: which diff?
I've seen a few guys running 8.5 10 bolts, but mostly people run 12 bolts. I personally run the 7.5 10 bolt with moser axels, welded axel tubes, richmond gears, studded girdle cover with bearing cap screws, a stronger center pin. So far, two years running on a 500 pony motor....(knock on wood)......

Re: which diff?
the guy i bought my camaro off of ran a 9.84 on a stock 8.5 and then he ran a 9.31 on the same diff with different axles and ring and pinion. he said that he only broke something once and he changed the axles and the gear ratio and has not had any problems since but i was wondering if at all there were anything that would be better to run the 12 bolt?
