Rebuilt 9-Bolt

Guys how hard will it be for me to tear apart my 9 bolt rear end and rebuilt it with the lsd? Any idea approximate cost?

Re: Rebuilt 9-Bolt

Have you checked out 9bolt.com for prices? I would check out the shop manual - special tools will be needed based on my reading of the manual. I wanted to replace the pinion seal and even that is not a project for the novice to intermediate DIY'r in my opinion. I took the axle out of mine to upgrade the brakes and I can't get it to fit back into the diff properly (solution was offered on Third Gen but I haven't had a chance to try it yet). My guess is that anyone with experience rebuilding diff.'s can handle this one OK with the right parts and the manual.

Thanks for the tip bro, I'll check it out. I'm wondering because the LSD is slipping and there is some whining coming from the rear end on hard right turns and at about 75mph
