rear end question

I just bought a 95 z28 six speed rear end with 3:42 i think.. I'm going to put it in my 91 rs. How will I get my speedo to work after I swap rear ends? And do I buy the 90-92 e brake cable? ive read through a lot of the posts and i'm still not 100% thanks also will the disc brakes fit on my stock 16 rims?

Most of your questions will be answered in the following FAQ:

The discs will fit your wheels.

Re: rear end question

Couldn't find anything on the speedo working. I heard after the swap, my gauges will not show the new rpm and right mph, any info on that? thanks

From the FAQ:

Any third- or fourthgen. While a fourthgen rear is a direct bolt-in, it'll be 2" wider or a bit less per side (note the link below for more info about width). Also, take note that if the gear ratio is changed in a swap, for example 3.08's to 3.42's, the speedo won't read correctly unless the transmission's drive and/or driven gears are changed.

I could help with the gear(s) if you were running a T-5. Since you're not, a call to the following company would no doubt get you set-up.

Re: rear end question

thank you, I didn't see that somehow.

"Before calling try to have tire height, rear end ratio and drive gear tooth count if possible."

Do you know what my gear tooth count is? I know the other two.
