hi , i have a question about the wiring for the electric trunk switch...i re-wired the back up lights and also the neutral clutch switch,,,but my trunk won't open now anymore with the switch,,my electric windows are fine but that middle switch is not working,,,it's got a brown and orange wire,,,the orange has constant power t,,,the brown has no power key on or off....does this have anything to do with the automatic shifter wires?...thankyou.

Did you wire the Neutral Safety Switch through the clutch pedal? It should and then the trunk open switch will work when the clutch pedal is depressed.

 

hi,,,no i didn't rewire the neutral wires (purple-yellow) through the clutch pedal...i didn't get that switch when i bought all my T5 conversion parts..wasn't there...i have tried calling several autoparts and even gm dealers...all discontinued or not available...thank god for 3rd gen....thanks.

 

hi, what i did was install a switch from the purple -yellow wires to act like a neutral safety switch like on the clutch pedal...until i can find one for the clutch pedal anyways ....once i push this switch with the key ON the trunk opens!...you really helped me save 2-3 days of headaches...thankyou.
