NOOB TO REARS!! i need some advice, thanks
So i am building a 90 formula LSx/t56, and The rear end i havent checked the bolts yet but i am trying to find a good rear end setup for llike 350-450 horses. um,...... i wont be building but ill be buying the parts. so any advice looking to put at least 11.5 inches of tires on the rear, and disc brakes on rear, looking for something i can make look beefy and it is beefy. can the stock 9/10 bolt rear hold up?

You need to check the pinion offset. The Chevy rear end has the pinion offset 1/2 inch from center, which puts the pinion 1 inch closer to the right than the left. You need to keep the pinion offset as close as possible to stock. You might need to narrow the rear end, or at least cut one side to make it fit. Accurate measurements are very improtant. Then you will need axles to fit the housing. If the 9 inch comes with 28 spline axles you might want to upgrade to 31 splines. Building the center chunk is going to be more expensive. You need to know what parts you wnat to use. That will depend on what you want to do with the car.

If you're comfortable with all the fab work on the mounts, that part of it shouldn't be too much of a problem. One of the hardest things to adapt is our torque arm setup. I know there was a couple of companies manufacturing a bolt-on bracket for the 9 inch rear that enables you to hook up the torque arm, but I'm not sure if it's still available or not. Maybe check with Currie Enterprises or Moser Engineering. The HP you stated is not necessarily out of the realm of a stock 9 or 10 bolt, but if those big tires you're planning on running are slicks, all that traction will kill your stock rear in no time. P.S. I just noticed that other 9 inch post. The picture that Evil Cartman posted has that bracket I just mentioned for the torque arm.
