WTF anyone else experience this?

Installing a Transgo 700-2-3 Reprogramming kit. Step one is installing the green spring onto the pr valve assembly. PROBLEM. That some biotch won't come down. I got the snap ring out but the bottom on the Boost valve is just sitting there. I tried lightly tapping and pushing up and it moves Maybe 1/16 inch but will not drop on down.

Also, I am completely broke at the moment. My stock 2nd servo is model number 554. I will purchase a vette servo in about 2-3 weeks when I get my bills paid. The instructions say not to run the 554 servo but will it be ok to run it till then??

Re: WTF anyone else experience this?

if all else fails put the filter on and the pan with fluid and I've been told that the pressure will force it out into the pan when you run the engine. On mine the boost valve came out but my pr valve did not and before I knew you could do the pressure thingy my pr valve broke because of the wiggling back and forth right at the oil hole in the middle of the shaft. Needless to say a strong magnet and a lot of BS the rest came out and now seems to be working very nice but there was a lot of touch and go there until that happened.

Hm. Sounds like it may break something though. Has anyone else tried this method to getting a stuck boost valve out?

No, I think he's saying his got broke from trying to wiggle it out. If you remove the snap ring, put the pan back on, put some fluid back in, fire up the car, and put it in gear for a sec, the whole valve assembly should pop down into the pan. It's highly unlikely anything will get broken using the pump pressure to force it out.

Exactly - sorry for the confusion - mine broke because of what I was doing - not because of using the fluid pressure to push it out. Had I known I could do that my life would have been much easier.
