I have a bowtie overdrives stage 2 700r4 bought in 2008,Its always shifted early,the TV cable is adjusted correctly and the early shift didnt really bother me on my stock engine,but now that I have my stealth ram build Id like to see it shift above 5K @ wot right now it shifts@ 4500-4700

Can i reprogram the prom to shift at higher rpm or is that all in the tv cable?

 

It's all in the TV cable.

 

No its not. You can't mess up the TV cable adjustment. You put it on, press the D-pad, push it in as far as possible, and then open the tb as far as possible and it's set. Hell, even if you didn't pull the TB open far enough, the first time you go WOT, it will set itself.

The governor, ive read, is what tells the trans to shift at what rpm too. Mine shifts fine from 1-2. But 2-3 is a whatever it wants to do. Sometimes it's 4000, very few times its at 5000 where it should be, most of the time it wont even shift, just keeps going. So it's something I need to look into. Good luck.

 

I set it and it is what it is, maybe I just need a B&M shifter.
