Car: 92 rs & 89rs

Transmission: auto & t5
new rear

i have a 92 rs with a 10 bolt drum 2.73 gears i belive and i am swapping in a 88 9-bolt with 3.23 gears and disc brakes. my question is i think i need to get a different prop. valve from some of the stuff ive read but not to sure which one to get. i also read i need to change the drive and or the driven gear is this something that needs to be done right away or will the speedo just be off

Yes, you should swap the combination valve; however, since you have an 92, the threads will be different from, say, the 88, so you'll have to do some fabbing. No rush on the speedo gears, but the speedo won't read correctly.
