700R4 Torque-Conevertor Suggestions

Any good suggestions for a street-driven lock-up 'vertor that will sit behind a 300ish rwhp engine. Car gets driven fairly often and isn't a speed machine...

I was thinking around 2000-2200 rpm to take advantage of the torque...

Any input is always appreciated!

Well, this is purely hypothetical at this point, but let's say a 355 with 180ish cc heads, FIRST intake and a 260ish cam. Full exhaust and 3.23 gears out back...

Edge Converters. I've got one behind my 420hp 350 on my 700r4. It's a 3000 stall so a little higher than you're looknig for but it works great. I though I had a problem with it and they took it back, opened it up, inspected everything, and sent it back free of charge.

It turned out to be someting else and not teh converter but I was very happy with the customer service. I don't remember the guys name but he's one of the main guys there. He personally answered my calls and took time to go through all my questions. Good product and good service.

Hadn't heard of Edge...I will look into them. I was thinking a 2000ish RPM stall would be good for a LTR design, correct?

You can try a converter from a 96+ 4.3 v6. 24202310 is the part number. IIRC it stalls behind a healty v8 in the 2000-2300 range.

Now that is a cool answer. I had heard something about the S10/Astro van 'vertors as well...
