can someone identify this diff?




Just picked up this diff with a set of 3.73's today, the seller wasn't sure if it was a stock unit or not.

it's appears to be a stock older gen Posi from around 1983
the weak point is that bracket that holds the 4 spings in place
they usually crack.. and the spring!! will find a new home in between the ring and pinion
that's what happen with my first 83 TA

That is the older Auburn. They aren't made that way anymore.

It came with a set of Richmond 3.73's with very low miles. I'm sure it'll be fine for what i'm going to do.

You might want to see if it's worn out before you go to the trouble of installing it.

Judging by the rear tires that i bought from the old owner it should be working pretty good.. haha
