Missing clutch linkage?
I think the two metal brakets attacting on to the engine are for the clutch linkage, because i dont see why they are there if its not for the linkage. (the pic is from under the car.) also i finished putting my new clutch in and everything is in side there right and the hydrolic clutch is working (just bleed it out) and my car will start but will not want to go in to gear when its on. so i was going to see if my linkage cable was bad and i cant see any linkage only the two brakets where i think it should go but im not sure. if you know were the clutch linkage is that would be helpful or what the two brakets go to in the pic. also the car was running when i bought it just really bad( in bad i mean the clutch was shot) it was able to shift in to gear before i did the clutch job on it.

Re: Missing clutch linkage?
all I see are heatshields for exhaust.
If you're using 84-92 F-body hydraulic clutch parts, you may want to bleed the clutch - many slave cylnders have a bleeder valve on top.

You either have a hydraulic clutch (which you said you did) or you have a cable operated clutch. A clutch doesnt use both. There is probably air still in the system. The angle the master sits at makes it a pain to get all the air out.

I dont know what most F-body owners do, but I bled mine before I even put it in the car. I'm a tech at a Ford dealership and some of the Fords master sits at the same angle and we take them out to bleed them.

Re: Missing clutch linkage?
I invested in a vacuum brake bleeder and had someone step on the pedal while I bled it, I have however found out an interesting thing:
If you spend the money at the dealership for the full hydraulic assembly, it comes all together, full of fluid, and pre bled. Put in and go
