i have a 350 bored and stroked to a 383
camaro
carbed, 10bolt rear

the guy that sold it to me said the trans was a built t5 which may be true but i never looked at it and the trans is about to go. i can feel it

i was thinking that i would do a swap for a six speed or go for a powerglide auto

not sure which would be easier or better cost wise?

 

the T56 is a good choice for manual. i wouldn't do a powerglide unless it was race only. a 700r4 can be built to hold good power. what are you using the car for?

 

If I were to do it again, i would go with either a glide or a 400.

 

the car is not going to be a daily driver because the gas mileage is just too bad, it will be a car to take to the strip and drive on a nice day, but not a race only car.

i was leaning more towards the 6 speed because it will be more fun to drive

now i gotta find a four cylinder piece of **** thats good on gas till i can afford to fix the camaro wonderful
