Well, even though this is for a Monte, the principals are the same. I put up my heavy T-56 today and think I have a snag:

It seems like to me it's a bit crooked, I've already put in the motor, one header and now that 120 pound beast. The person before me must of "thought" it was a good idea to weld in the motor mounts, so adjusting them is not too much an option at this point. I would rather not pull the trans and motor again.

Any ideas?

Re: T-56 Problem
Put a ratchet strap around the tailshaft and the frame and pull it to the pass side.

The tranny should point straight back and the side view should have equal yet opposite angles w/ the pinion. Invest in an angle finder.

It's not uncommon for it to be off like that.

Lol, I should have thought of that, I do have an angle finder, but don't quite understand where and what you're telling me to measure.

Ok, I got it now, went out there quick and pulled it over with a ratchet strap and broke the connector for the reverse lockout. Oops, gonna have to invest in some super glue. lol

Thanks for the help
