bent shifting fork???

Any ideas: did a t-5 swap and from the start it had a problem going into first. Now I'm to the point it won't hold at all it just pops out (almost feels and sounds like the teeth don't engage, just grazes off), if I downshift it will hold until I start to coast then falls right out. I know t-5s are way under built, I just want to get to cruising before I upgrade later this year....

Re: bent shifting fork???

If its popping out of gear, its probably a syncro. The T56 I bought for my swap had no 2nd gear. I was told that you could force it into 2nd, but it would pop out. This is what I found when I got it apart.

I had the exact same problem the little teeth on first gear were worn and the gear had to be replaced
