ram flywheel
I bought a ram 10lb billet steel flywheel and centerforce dual friction clutch for the formula. It's all for a newer 1pc rear main. When I checked the clutch to flywheel clearance, the cluth hits the bolts that hold the flywheel on. I called ram and nobody was home, summit didn't know anything and centerforce wouldn't answer. I guess my question is has anybody else used this combo? Do I need to use a ram clutch? A puck style clutch with no springs? Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Ryan

Re: ram flywheel
Is the sprung hub forward towards the engine or back towards the pressure plate?
What flywheel to crank bolts are you using?
Pics might help.

Re: ram flywheel
I was using the arp flexplate bolts called for, and the clutch disc is facing the correct direction, there was just a tiny gap between the disc and flywheel.I finally got ahold of ram today, and they said you can't use a clutch with a sprung hub, it has to be a solid hub. Summit and jegs didn't have this in any notes on their website or their books if you call them, and there was nothing on rams website. I guess ram dropped the ball on that, it would be helpful to know before the car is torn apart. Oh well, wait on parts now.
