T-56 Speedo
Not sure if it fits better here or in the electronics section. None the less someone here might know.
Reading through all the little deals about the T-56 swap, i found no help on this subject.
Problem: I have a T-56 installed and an Autometer speedo, 3 3/8 cobalt. I have yet to wire it because I am wondering if I need something to go in between or if the autometer will accept the speedo signal.
They sold me this kit with it but it appears to be a kit to go from cable speedo to electric, will I need one of those dakota digital boxes?

An electric programable Autometer speedo should accept any signal. You program it by putting it into program mode then driving 2 miles. Thats how my 5" Pro-Comp one is anyways. You wont need the adapter they sold you. I had one of those when I had my TH350 setup with that speedo.

Don't think it's programmable, there's only the trip button, this is the speedo:

Says it works with "most" factory sensors, just curious about if somebody has tried it

Yeah mine too only has a trip button. I dont remember right now how to (reminds self to look this up because I need to reprogram mine) but all you use is the trip button. Something about holding it down or something.

Re: T-56 Speedo
I use highway mile markers. I pull off on the shoulder next to a mile marker, press the button to start programming, then drive 2miles at about 50mph to the second marker and pull onto the shoulder again. I hit the button again and it's calibrated.
