lt1 bellhousing behind a big block
i have a 68 chevy big block and right now i have a t-5 behind it io went with 82 flywheel was the only way i made it work but id like to do a t56 swap from a 95 but i dont care to fork out 600 to 700 for a damn bell housing if i go with a torque arm relocater kit can i use the lt1 belll housing i know the bottom two bolts wont have a place to go but think it would work ?

BBC/sbc/lt1....all have the same pattern for the bellhousing...
it will BOLT up fine... the clutch components will need to be mismatched to make it work...but it will work.

The 93-97 LT1 T56 bellhousing will bolt to the MkIV block fine. It does not have any bolts that attach it to the LT1 oil pan; just a few small ones for a dust shield.
You will have to use a 153 tooth flywheel. A 168 tooth / starter will not work in that bell.
I hope you have your clutch release / flywheel setup figured out?
