Does anybody know the length of a stock T5 shifter? I am putting a TKO 600 into my car and would like the shifter to sit as high as it does with my T5 right now. Also, to keep the shifter the same as the T5, would I have to get a straight stick or one with some what of a set back to it?

 

Too damn long.

Why do you want to keep busting your knuckles on the radio (literally!), even with a better transmission where you don't have to put up with that?

 

I always liked my T5 shifter, and never thought of it as being too long. Im not a big fan of the really short shifters, so that is why I am trying to find the length of the stock shifter.

 

As far as I know after market versions, like the Pro or B&M, are the same height as OE.

OK, thanks. I dont need a entire shifter though, since the TKO comes with one on it already. I'll just have to find the right length stick.
