i swapped out a broken 293 limited slip for an open 308 my car is an 83 z 28 with disc brakes the other came from an 83 drum.now if i push the car side to side i hear a clunking in the rearend i never noticed that before the switch.i didnt know the axles where different untill i put it together thankfully mine where still ok the rotor wouldnt fit over the ones from the drum brake rearend.is there something im missing hear is it just the axles hitting against the locking pin and is that normal maybe it did it before and i just never noticed it and i dont think the c clamps are broke i just put it back together maybe tried it twenty miles or so. any input is helpful thanks

 

it is normal for c-clip style axles to make that sound when you pull/push on the axles
