Alright I'm driving a 87 Camaro 305 4bbl carb. Earlier in the month my car lost power in third and fourth gear, as if its gone into neutral or something. I thought it was the detent/tv cable but after messing with it, that doesnt seem to be the problem. So now I'm asking anyone for help. What could be the reason behind my car acting as if its in neutral when I hit third and fourth gear? I really need to solve this problem and just hope it wont be anything serious.

 

Went to a shop and found out that its my tranny and gotta get it rebuilt. Apparently my Overdrive was burnt out? Didn't know that was possible but that's that problem.

 

Yep was gonna say sounds like the 3/4 clutchs are gone
