Simple Rear Gear Question

What gears are made for a 7.5" rear, higher (lower number) than 2.73s? Not that I would buy them but they probably would make for a beast on the interstate mpg (im already getting 29 w/305 tbi) and top speed wise.

Re: Simple Rear Gear Question

I'm not sure they would actually help. The harder it is for the motor to turn the gears, the more you have to push the gas pedal down.

Re: Simple Rear Gear Question

I know that there are 2.56 and 2.41 gears. I think there are even some in the 4.2 range, but I have only heard of them and I have never had my hands on any.

Re: Simple Rear Gear Question

2.14, 2.29, 2.41, 2.56 were all used in production GM cars w/ the 7.5 10-bolt.
