what are my options for strong standard trans?

a few weeks ago i blew up the 305 in my car. this weekend was my 21st bday, and my dad gave me a 400 sbc from a early 70s impala. i spoke with my engine dude and i will be making 400-450 horse after he's done with it.

my car right now is 700r4. what are my options for a standard trans? 4spd, 5spd, 6spd i dont care. but like, do i need a trans with the provisions for the torque arm or is that something that can be fabbed up?

i know these cars came with a t5, but is a t5 buildable to handle the tq from my 400?

btw this is the car it'll be going in:

had to ***** lol. thanks!

A LT1 T56 will be almost a direct swap and documented in the Sticky.. Since you'll be using a 2pc RMS, you'll need to get a conversion flywheel from Mcleod,Centerforce,Fridenza,etc..
