Hey all, running into a problem here. With my new clutch and flywheel setup, my fork no longer has enough travel to properly engage, so i've been looking into buying an adjustable pivot ball. Would the one linked below fit my application, details on summit/jegs are not very specific.

Its a BW t5, obviously for a v6, the one above doesn't show up when i search for the engine make on summit, but i thought that the pivot ***** were swappable between v6s and v8s. Correct me if im wrong here.

Re: V6 t5 adjustable pivot ball??
The outer piece of the Lakewood adjustable pivot ball will thread into a mechanical (83 and older) bellhousing.
The 84-up V8 bellhousings use a different thread for the pivot ball into bellhousing I'm pretty sure the V6 bells use the same thread.

I might have an odd-ball tap this size from when I was doing some LT1 T56 to T5 clutch work.

Worst case scenario, you could find an allen bolt with thread like the ballstud, and have someone w/a drill press drill the middle out so you can tap it for the Lakewood stud to fit it.

Next question: If you have the right trans. / ballstud / clutch / hydraulics, why are you out of range for the clutch release to work? ...

...Ooops I thought you had hydraulic; you have an 83. It probably does fit the mechanical V6 bellhousing.

There are two heights(maybe more?) of ballstuds for mechanical bellhousings. You might have the wrong one.

Re: V6 t5 adjustable pivot ball??
The body is an 83 camaro. The PO swapped the motor out of an 87 s10. Unfortunately the flywheel that was used, he had the weights machined off. Due to this the car had an ungodly vibration. The style of the flywheel was the thicker "deepdish" and I couldn't find the a flywheel like it that would properly balance the motor. So I found the proper balanced flywheel for it, but it was about 3/4" thinner in size. With this the clutch fork doesn't travel far enough to engage.

And yes it does indeed have the mechanical linkage setup. So with that, the lakewood Adj. pivot ball will work?

The 83-down ballstud thread is 13/16 - 16. I still have that tap if anyone needs it.

You measure anything or try this out yet?
