Clutch help
Clutch help
I replaced the clutch today, it still slips and it makes a horrible wrapping noise metal on metal almost...and its a steady noise when the car is running.. could we have installed the clutch disc backwards?
Re: Clutch help
The noise ended up being a piece of tin rubbing against the housing something like that my husband said...noise is fixed...however it still slips, I have been told the flywheel was not resurfaced enough....

Re: Clutch help
Take it out. Have the pressure plate and flywheel both machined (not scuffed) and if everything else is okay, the new clutch will work like one. It absolutely will not when using an unmachined flywheel.
