rearend question

Car: 1988 firebird
Engine: 350 and a holly finally
Transmission: 700r4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
rearend question

so i had my firebird in the air to do the brakes it is an 88 it was a v6 auto and i just put in a 350 auto but anyway i was lookin at my rearend and i noticed that a control arm says camaro on it like it was from a junk yard and i looked at the diff and it is a 10 bolt did it come with this and where are the id nums i thought that it was supose to have a 9 bolt with 3.42s but i may be wrong should it be a 10 bolt

Wow, put a period in there every now and then.

The V6 cars didn't get the 9 bolt. They got the 7.5 10 bolt.
