I need to buy a tq converter and dont know wich stall to get. the guy who rebuilt my trans says 3000 stall, jegs says thats not enough i need 3500, northerauto says 3000 stall, and summit says 1700, and a buddy says 2400. what do i get i realy need to get this ordered because i plan on breaking in this coming up weekend. Help.

here are specs
84 firebird
th350 trans
383 stroker with remaned heads 64cc and 202/160 valves
cam specs Chevy 262-400 cid Hydraulic camshaft, 2800-6000 RPM Range, 300 intake/300 exhaust Adv Dur, Duration @.050 224 intake/224 exhaust, Valve Lift .436 intake/.436 exhaust, Lobe C/L 108.
rear gears are 3.23 plan on getting 3.73 posi next spring.

For street/strip use, a 2400 stall would be my pick.

 

I got the one from an s10 (2200?) I love it for street/strip
