Hello all, new member here w/an '82 Firebird SE V6 2.8L and 4 speed transmission.

I have an opportunity to acquire a Borg/Warner 5 speed trans from a 1987 Camaro (the Camaro's engine was also a V6) and need to know if it will fit into my 82 Firebird without any modifications...

Nothing is wrong with the 4 speed, however I do have to replace the rear main seal and this would seem like a good opportunity to gain an extra gear...

Please advise if this is do-able or what, if any mods need to be made..
