clutch/ transmission problem
1991 z28 305 5 speed manual trans
I need help with my manual trans. with the car not running the trans shifts in all gears. with it running, you can put it in any forward gear. when you start driving, it wont shift into the next gear. also, it will only go in reverse when i turn off the engine.Otherwise it just grinds and wont go in at all. I got under the car while someone pushed in the clutch and it had the proper travel of .53 in.and doesn't loose pressure when holding it in. With the reservoir cap off, should you see any fluid movement when the clutch is depressed? because it doesn't on mine. Also, once the car is fully warmed up the car will crawl with the clutch pushed in. Any help would be great.

Reverse doesn't have a synchro... You have to put it into a forward gear first, and then reverse otherwise it'll almost always grind.
It sure sounds like your clutch isn't disengaging.

i have a 1992 camaro 3.1L V6. has a T5 five speed and i had the same exact problem. my clutch went completely, so i replaced it.
not trying to take over the thread, but
after i replaced the clutch and components, master and slave cyl. my clutch still isnt disengaging and wont let me go into any gear still, it is fully bled and ive tried everything. i got the flywheel machined .016 and didnt shim it at all. can someone please help me, i need it done by this weekend cuz its my daily driver
