TPI tv cable differences: 89-92 vs 85-88
I've read there are different part numbers for 85-88 tv cables and 89-92 for TPI. What is the difference and it might be a silly question but are either interchangable? Off hand I can't think of why there would be a difference.

85-88 uses a stud on a conventional throttle arm, 89+ uses a cam.

I know the throttle cable differs in that way, the tv cable too? Looking online I can't find a pic to illustrate the difference. I'm trying to think how on earth am I using a 87' tv cable on my 89-92 TB if this is the case

The manner in which the cable connects to the TB is the same... But on later cars the TV cable adjustment "button" is different. Early cars have a D shaped button, later cars have a square button. I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't be interchangeable other then that difference.

Thanks....I couldn't think how there would be anything different in length or such, just want to make sure I have the correct cable of course and not losing any performance or harming anything.
