Re: centerforce dual friction clutch

I've got one in my car with a pretty hot 427 and it has never slipped or caused any problems. It's smooth and not too hard on the left leg. The only thing that I don't like is that the springs are large and rub on the heads of the flywheel bolts.

Re: centerforce dual friction clutch

one of the best clutches ive ever ran. never toasted one. never slipped one.
only down fall is i have a manual clutch so the pedal is a pain in the butt!

ran a center force with a kennebell 4.6 handled over 800hp. the harder u rap the car the harder they grab.
there worth the money. i ve toasted act's and specs, even dual and triple disk

here is a act 2600

Does the springs rubbing hurt anything? Doesn't seem like that could be a good thing

Re: centerforce dual friction clutch

I don't know if that's the fault of the clutch or my flywheel. I used a PST clutch in another car and it did the same thing.

Were you using a stock flywheel or a aftermarket one?

I've got a steel flywheel and the onther one was a steel Hayes. No more DF? I hope mine doesn't ever go bad on me.

Re: centerforce dual friction clutch

You do know that the DF isn't a twin disc, right?

In reply to your post, I’m sorry to inform you we currently do not have inventory on this clutch. The manufacture we sourced the raw pressure plates from has stopped production on this pressure plate. We are currently looking for a replacement source so we will be able to offer our dual friction assembly for this application again. Feel free to contact Centerforce if you have any questions.
