Swapping to a T-5, got two questions.

First question:
I currently have a set of 3.23 gears with a posi that I am going to build into a 91 Transam axle I got, is that a good gear selection? Or should I find and run 3.42 gears? I wont be running at a track and this will be my driver with mostly city driving.

Second question:
I read several threads about clutch sizes and what I can and cant run with a 153 tooth flywheel. I found two identical clutches on Summit, one listed 11" diameter and the other at 10.4 inches. So of course I would like to be able to run the 11" clutch. I have read that a vette clutch will work at 10.75". Will this 11" work for me, or should I just get 10.4" version?

Oh I forgot, I have a WC T-5 from a 90 V-8 car. I believe it has the 2.95 first gear and the motor is a crossfire 350.

You need the 10.4 clutch. The 11 is probably for a 168 tooth flywheel, which doesn't fit in the V8 T5 bellhousings. The 10.75 1988 vette clutches are fine to use.

3.23 will work fine. I like 3.73s.

Ok, I will stick with the 3.23's I already have and see if I like it. I can always swap over to 3.42's at anytime since I do my own gears.

As far as the clutch, it is a $100 bump in price to gain .25" so I guess I am going to stick with the factory replacement setup. It is not like the Crossfire is a performance bench mark even with the 350 in it.

Thanks for your replys!
