so ive snapped 3 shifter cables..

so ive snapped 3 shifter cables..
88 iroc z 5.7/700r4, shifter cable broke I replaced it. It shifts down from park into all gears fine, when I try to go back up to park the cable inside the console binds up and breaks and will not push the lever on the trans all the way up into park. I've done this twice now with 2 brand new cables and I'm tired of buying them. Megashifter inc...

im having the same problem. ive bought mine from autozone(pioneer) ,pepboys(dorman),and advance auto(dorman)... all of them garbage. the last one i bought from autozone lasted me the longest, about a month. any ideas on why it keeps breaking?

Aftermarket shift cables are all junk, I went through several. This is one place it pays to go to the dealer!
