700r4 shifting odd

been buggin me i figured i would finally make a post. i don't hammer the car all the time but it seems when i do it shifts better. when your cruising it shifts between 1500-1800 rpm annoying because it does not hold a gear unless you are on it. it will shift into od and have the converter lock up when doing 35 so it's just really boged down. it down shifts normal but it just seems it should hold the shift out further than 1800rpm am i crazy or is this normal?

Make sure your TV cable is adjusted correctly. It can make your sifts too early or too late.

Here is a decent read on how to adjust it
