i have a 700r4 with a shift kit in it out of a 84 camaro in my 92 do i need one of does kits to lock my torque converer or does it do it by you setting the shifter on overdrive?

if you have the stock motor and computer in your car and it was an automatic originally and everything is working it should lock up itself in gear
