Thank you for looking, let me start by saying what my transmission does..

When i drive my car, i always start in first gear, not drive.. the reason is that when I'm in drive the car is "sluggish", but in first its fine..

When i put my car into drive, it whines all the way till the point it engages into gear.

I will start moving in first gear and ill push it into second and it wont shift so i let my foot off the gas then there is a big "BANG" or "THUMP" and my dash mat jumps, something makes my car hit super hard after the sudden deceleration.

Im not sure but sometimes it seems as though im in first while im in second on the shifter, and im cruising through my neighborhood at 25mph and 4000rpm or so. Ill come to a stop and my car will downshift but acted like it was in first gear??

if im in drive and have about 1/2 throttle my car will stumble and every time i push the gas it will stumble, so i pull over while my car was trying to die and shut it off for about 15-30 sec and it will start and run like everything was fine.

I know my car has issues, but i love the car (my first) and im trying my best to get it running like it should be. Any help is appreciated, thanks again. If you need any information ill be happy to give it to you.

have you checked the tranny fluid?

Put it in D or OD

start driving but don't go heavy on the gas, does it take a while to shift out of first and go into second? Is the same for going into 3rd?

 

yep, checked and double checked.. And you are correct about the dragging on till it changes but not into third. I'm not sure if it helps, I can kinda tell it still whines in gear, especially in high rpm's.

 

do a search on adjusting the tv cable

if that doesn't cure it, then the next step is to look into a rebuild
